With the rapid economic development, the core technology personnel in the enterprise is becoming more and more important, the more clear understanding of the situation of core technology staff, the more effectively motivate them and foster their loyalty, encouraging them to struggle for continuous innovation. How the demand characteristics of the core technology employees based on their motivation to become the business are very concerned about the issue.This article based on the basic theory and method of performance management, indicate the characteristics of IT core technology personnel. It fully analyzes the actual situation of IT core technology personnel performance management of AP Company, in which it finds many deficiencies and problems existing and points out the necessity and significance of establishment of new employee performance management system. On the basis of it, it sets out the method of IT core technology personnel performance management of AP Company, in terms of performance management concept, combining Balanced Score Card (BSC), Key Performance Indicators (KPI), Management by Objectives (MBO),360 Degree Feedback and Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP), and designs a performance management system which is practicable and operable with IT core technology personnel.The paper includes 6 parts. In the first part, the purpose and significance of the study is given, and the status quo of foreign and domestic study on improvement of performance for IT core technology staff is introduced. Also the research content and methods are introduced briefly. In the second part, summarizing the concepts and theories about performance and performance management, compares several common performance appraisal methods. In the third part, the factors which influence IT core technology staff's performance are analyzed. On the basis of analysis above, the forth part of the paper studies how to build the performance management system of IT core technology staff. In the fifth part, the security mechanism of the performance improvement for IT core technology staff is discussed. In the last part, the author summarizes the whole study on IT core technology staff's performance improvement.
