From early 80s last century till today, with its unique vigor and development potential, bio-industry has become a sustainable strategic new impetus of economy in 21st century, and its market space could be 10 times larger than information industry, and the value of economic growth also has a vigorous vitality. Lots of countries have increased their attention on investment and development of Bio-industry one after another. Our government has also paid a huge attention on it. Firstly, biological technology is included in the category of five strategic advanced and high technology plan, and also indite into the outline of national mid to long term science and technology development plan. Secondly, our government has successively established the"new five-year plan" of national bio-industry development and several policies to promote and accelerate the development of bio-industry. Meanwhile, lots of specialized bases of bio-industry with international competitiveness have been built rapidly.The current scale of bio-industry in Hubei province expands continuously, and the development of the industry is very active; at the same time, some problems exist, such as: the scale is bit small, our products are lack of innovation, the rate of industrialization of scientific and technological achievements is very low, and financing channel is relatively onefold, etc. So how to accelerate the development of bio-industry of Hubei province, change development patterns, adjust the thinking of development, are the important strategic emphasis of seizing the high-end and leading edge., and it is also a strategic choice of taking the lead of achieving the rise of central China. According to aforementioned background, my thesis centre on Research on Development Patterns of Hubei Bio-industry; elaborate the background, objective, purport, Summary of literature, method, and content architecture, and my thesis also learned development patterns of world bio-industry, while looked into the status of development of bio-industry, it made a factor analysis of major restraint of Hubei bio-industry; then, according to development mentality of provincial Party committee and provincial government of Hubei in the bio-industry. All of those abovementioned are on the guiding ideology, fundamental objective, and mid- long tern development targets of the development of bio-industry in Hubei. After all, by using theoretic normative analysis and empirical study, it brings up a development direction, which are: the Cluster type for the bio-industry chain, replication– type for those medium-sized and small enterprises, autonomous type for key technical breakthrough, integrated type for innovative element, financing channels broaden for the bio-industry, and human resource development for those talent shortage, and prospect next research.Next period, it is the crucial time to make the bio-industry in Hubei to be part of something big, so how to aim at those problems occurred in the industry, learn the experience from other countries, and how to accelerate the research of bio-industrial development, those are important tasks in front of us, and there is no time to delay.Therefore, Research on Development Patterns of Hubei Bio-industry, is not only with extensive theoretic value, but also with practical value as well. Hopefully, my thesis would make a tiny contribution to the bio-industry in Hubei.
