As an important urban infrastructure, urban gas stations have been providing guarantee for the normal economic and social activities like urban production and life. It is particularly important that how to make gas stations layout rational and develop healthy and orderly. In a sense, the rationality of gas stations' spatial layout decides the city's security and society economy' development and dweller' life quality, and so on.Based on research on status of the spatial layout of domestic and international stations, combining with principles and influencing factors of urban gas stations' spatial layout, the article considers the evaluating indicator of optimal layout from four aspects including the station's location, scale, number and station service area. Compositing correlative theories and models and spatial analysis method, the article systematically analyzes and studies general layout optimization of gas stations using the method of combining theoretical research and practical application.The article takes the gas stations of Shinan District of Qingdao City as a research example of spatial layout optimization. Based on the analysis of supply and demand and service area of gas stations, the article evaluates the current situation of the spatial distribution of urban stations, and ascertains the scale and number of gas station suited to urban development, and then puts forward the current problems about spatial layout of the gas station. Using ArcGIS'network analysis functions, the article combined with P-center location and distribution model chooses the location of gas stations, and then forms the preliminary program of stations location. To form an effective of gas station by using buffer model and buffer analysis, and to form a service area that people can reach by using network analysis, then to calculate effective service area and the rate of coverage, and evaluate the preliminary program with congruence analysis capabilities. At last, the article adjusts the location of gas stations to get an optimization plan, and then verifies whether the optimized gas stations are convenient to the user service through the user find the nearest gas station to determine the optimal solution.
