| With the rapid development of information technology and economic globalization, the management mode on product and production as center has not fit in with the needs of modern market competition, and has been replaced with the supply chain management viewing customers'demand as the central point. Under supply chain management, individual firm no longer competes as an independent entity, but rather as an integral part of supply chain linkage. It is important for business existing and development for suppliers. Therefore, supplier management shall be one of the important sections of enterprise management. Definitely supplier management has become one of core business management concentration in F Engineering (Shanghai) Company. A successful supplier management can improve its competency inside engineering industry.In this paper we review the project execution conducted by F Engineering (Shanghai) Company and approach and study its project procurement strategies in today's supply chain environment. Knowing what problems F Shanghai company is encountering, firstly we go through all the equipments normally purchased in chemical projects, and comment on the risk of equipment purchasing. What's more, we focus on the current status and future development of its suppliers, and we finalize the procurement strategies which tailor to F Shanghai Company. Eventually the solution is worked out to improve the whole supplier management system in the aspects of supplier relationship developing based on material classification, supplier selecting, evaluating and stimulating, and using of supplier managing computer system. These practices are critical for future business development and further growth of F Shanghai Company; meanwhile it is also hopeful to promote these experiences to other engineering companies. That is one of the purposes of this thesis. |
