Research On The Growth Mode Transformation And Assessment System Of Foreign In Zhejiang

Great changes have taken place in foreign trade in our country since the reform and opening to the outside world. Our country has become a real major country excellent in foreign trade in the world. Foreign trade in Zhejiang province is confronted with the problem of low benefits in exporting, imbalanced structure of foreign trade, environmental degradation, high dependence on foreign trade and other problems despite all the brilliant achievements. All of these problems indicate that it is not easy for China to change from a major country to a great power in foreign trade. Foreign trade in Zhejiang developed rapidly in recent years;as a result, it has become one of the dominant and important provinces in foreign trade in China. Zhejiang province has made great progress in foreign trade both in absolute quantity and in increment, which not only laid a solid foundation for the national economic development and opening to the outside world but also provided valuable experience, set a good example for the whole nation. However, as a major province of trade, Zhejiang province has got the common problems in general and some special problems as well, which are particularly thorny. Changing the mode of trade is the only way to change from a major country to a great power and achieve sustainable development of foreign trade. In order to take the road of enriching the people and building up the province, Zhejiang needs to promote its foreign trade. With this as an objective, it is the key to speed up the transformation of the growth pattern of foreign trade at present and in the future, in accordance with the requirements of the scientific concept of development. To achieve comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable development of foreign trade, we need to change the mode of trade on the premise of improving quality and benefits. Therefore, it is of great significance to put forward some specific and pointed ways by studying the development of foreign trade in Zhejiang since reform and opening up, designing a scientific and effective index system measuring the growth of foreign trade, summing up successful experience and strengths and analyzing the various factors constraining development of foreign trade. In this paper, the present author establishes a scientific and rational index system measuring the transitional process of foreign trade, has some empirical tests on the growth and characteristics of foreign trade in Zhejiang, analyzes comprehensively the growing pattern and the problems, and puts forward some reasonable strategies aiming at changing the mode foreign trade grows on the basis of literature research combined with the history and the present situation of foreign trade in Zhejiang. The thesis falls into six parts. The first part is the literature review, significance, research approach and new ideas of this thesis. The second part is about the related theories of the mode foreign trade grows. The third part deals with the construction of the index system measuring the transitional process of foreign trade from four perspectives, that is, evaluation system for the overall growth of foreign trade; evaluation system for optimizing the structure of foreign trade; evaluation system for efficiency increase; evaluation system for the basis of foreign trade. At the same time, the author establishes a scientific and comprehensive index system measuring the transitional process of foreign trade. The fourth part introduces an evaluation system for growth pattern of foreign trade. The fifth part is about the present problems and the achievements in foreign trade. The author finds out that foreign trade in Zhejiang Province has maintained a sustainable growth and benefits with an optimized structure on the basis of empirical tests. The sixth part brings out some ways to change the growth pattern which aim at solving the problems existing in the development of foreign trade in Zhejiang province.
