The rapid growth of Chinese economy has brought both great opportunities and challenges to Chinese hotel industry. Since 2000, Chinese hotel industry has developed rapidly. By 2009, there have been 14639 star hotels, including 506 five-star hotels,2057 four-star hotels, 6215 three-star hotels,5450 two-star hotels and 411 one-star hotels. But in 2005, there are 11828 star hotels in the whole country. During 2005 and 2009 about 3000 hotels came into being, including 67000 star rooms in tourist cities, which reaches 126000 rooms in total. i.e. the market doubled in those four years. Now there are more than 16000 star hotels in china, and the proportion of four-star hotels and five-star hotels has increased from7.7% to 17.5% by the end of 2009.Although the hard-ware environment of Chinese hotel industry has already reached the international advanced standard, there is a long way for its soft-ware environment (management model, development idea, staff quality and service standard) to reach international advanced standard. Facing severe market competition, its weak soft-ware environment not only affects Chinese hotel industry's international image, but also hiders its survival and development.Hotel industry is very competitive, and Staff's quality is key to hotel's service level and competitive ability Hotel industry. So it's of great importance for hotels to train their staffs so as to obtain and keep their competitive, advantages. Hotel managers need to evaluate their staffs'training performance objectively and comprehensively.This paper firstly comprehensively studies relative theories and literatures about staff training performance evaluation home and abroad. On the basis of Kirkpatrick's four levels of learning evaluation model, it establishes a training performance evaluation system containing reaction level, learning level, behavior level, and result level, and adopts methods of expert interview, survey and uses analytic hierarchy process to calculate the weights of evaluation indexes at each level. At last, this paper weights those data so that it gets final evaluation result of staff training performance.This paper studies HUATIAN Hotel empirically and collects relative data on its training performance by adopts methods of survey. And it evaluates HUATIAN Hotel's staff training performance, analyzing problems in training and providing reforming suggestions.The content of this paper concludes the following several point:(1) This paper concludes developing progress and present theoretical research situation of enterprise training performance evaluation home and abroad, studies relative training performance evaluation theories, analyzes several common evaluation models thoroughly, and brings in advanced research method and research thinking.(2) Study on evaluation index system. By analyzing both researches and implementation situation of enterprise training performance evaluation home and abroad, this paper establishes a scientific and reasonable staff training performance evaluation index system, uses surveys and aph to decide the weight of this evaluation index.(3) This paper makes a survey on the basis of index system established in this paper to analyzes Huan Tian Hotel's staff training performance empirically, and points out the problems existing in its development, and puts forward relevant development strategies.
