In recent years, higher education of tourism is growing rapidly with the constant development of tourism industry while providing a large number of specialized personnel for tourism industry.However, undergraduate education of tourism in China is making progress and also facing the issues of further development, raising the teaching quality of undergraduate education of tourism is urgent. The Survey Course of Hotel Management is one of the main courses for curriculum system of Tourism Management,the teaching effects will directly influence the teaching quality of undergraduate education of tourism. At present, the phenomena of inefficient teaching is existing in the teaching process of the Survey Course of Hotel Management,we urgently need to analyze its effective teaching systematically.Effective teaching is a kind of effective, efficient and cost-effective teaching, the teachers follow the objective law of educational and teaching activities,it needs to optimize the teaching process continuously, in order to promote students'progress and development. This paper introduced the concept of effective teaching and relevant theory into tourism teaching of undergraduate education,it centered on the students'progress and development that is the basic principle of effective teaching, it based on the essential difference between higher education and elementary education which need to be grasped emphatically, it focused on the clearing objective of cultivating talents of Tourism Management, mastering the characteristics of the course, choosing appropriate teaching strategies as he concept of the effective teaching in the Survey Courses of Hotel Management. Meanwhile, combining the education and teaching characteristics of Tourism Management and the essence function of Survey Courses of Hotel Management, according to basic elements of effective teaching, starting from the phenomena,making an investigation and analysis to the current situation of effective teaching effect and teaching effectiveness in the Survey Courses of Hotel Management, according to the main problems such as teaching contents and hotel industry are not closely connected, teaching method and means are lack of flexibility and diversity,the teachers lack of guidance,interaction and the sense of creating the experience chances for the students,and the causes of the problems, tring to construct the effective teaching of the Survey Courses of Hotel Management from the integrative view. This paper tris to find out the basic approaches of effective teaching in the Survey Courses of Hotel Management,it not only provides theoretical and practical references for teaching in the Survey Courses of Hotel Management but also offers the references for the related courses of Tourism Management...
