Tourism Education is a significant part of education, and as an important way of driving the development of the tourism, it develops fast especially in recent years. The core of the purpose of Higher Vocational Tourism Education is to cultivate the professionals with abilities for tourism. However, Higher Vocational Tourism Education in China pays too much attention to theory rather than practice, and it brings some negative influence in cultivating students. As a matter of fact, it even results in the phenomenon that which dislocates between the importance of the personnel training and actual requirements. The CBE Model is a vocational education model which mainly meets to the needs of enterprises and it is in the purpose of actual capacity-building, too. So it's in line with the requirements of Higher Vocational Tourism Education. Learning from CBE Model, we can reform the Higher Vocational Tourism Education in educational practice. In that way, the students enable to combine theory and practice perfectly, and they master the necessary professional ability in practice. On the basic of CBE model, this paper aims to analyze the problem of Higher Vocational Tourism Education in practical teaching and construct the basic model of reform in practical teaching. Furthermore, it promotes the improvement of all-sided quality of the practice courses.This paper is divided into five chapters: Chapter I is the introduction, which introduces the background of the topic and the significance of research; Chapter II tells the basic theory of this paper——the meaning of CBE model, characteristics, operating procedures, and analysis of the differences between the CBE model and the traditional model; Chapter III introduces the application of the CBE model in foreign Higher Vocational Tourism Education, the revelation of Higher Vocational Tourism Education in China and analysis of the possibility of extending the CBE model in Higher Vocational Tourism Education in China. In Chapter IV, the author makes a survey of the actuality of Practical Teaching and analyses the problems. In the end, according to the problems of Higher Vocational Tourism Education, in Chapter V, the author brings up the reformed measures in detail on the basic of the CBE model.
