The process of globalization and trade integration deepened ceaselessly, information technology updated constantly, the market environment is changing day and day, so the environment for business is very complicated. Modern enterprises must resort to the new management concepts and methods to obtain competitive advantages. The development of supply chain management theory provides new ideas and new methods for enterprise's production and operation.Under the environment of supply chain management, procurement management is increasingly important, which has obtained more and more enterprises'attention. Procurement management based on supply chain directly affects the efficiency of the supply chain. Especially for manufacturing companies, how to improve productivity, how to meet the market supply demand is the key to obtain customers and competitiveness. Then, the premise of production capacity rising is materials'stable supply at the right time,right place,right quality and suitable amount. This request reflects more apparent in this booming semiconductor industry.This study researches on procurement management mode of Co. Ltd Jilin NXP Semiconductors under this context. The performance of NXP continues to rise since established in 2003. However, in social background with the intense competition, NXP also faces the press of cost reducing, the product cycle shortening, which involved updating and improving in supply chain management mode. The kinds of raw materials in NXP are more than 2000, while the suppliers are all over the world. However, the NXP located in Jilin City in Jilin province in northeast China, where has no distinct geographical superiority. What's more, NXP doesn't have the r&d and marketing functions, so the production cost directly relate to the rising of NXP's profit ability and market competitiveness. Therefore, it is very important for NXP to construct procurement management mode based on the idea of supply chain management.In order to solve these research questions, this study reviewed the related theories in the second chapter, which was the theoretical basis of this study. Then analyzed the case of NXP in the third chapter. Introduced the status quo of procurement management, dissected those existing problems about procurement management mechanism,the procurement process,procurement process management,cost management,price management,supplier management and inventory management in NXP. Then drawing on these basic theories, this study for proposed the overall planning,designing principles and steps on the management mode in the fourth chapter. Based on the literature and practice reviewing, this study designed procurement management mode under the environment of supply chain management for NXP, which mainly solved those problems on management mechanism,staff quality,procurement process,price management,cost control and supplier development,evaluation and management, as well as inventory management and etc. Moreover, according to experiences of NXP, the new model is difficult to be effectively carried out. So this study proposed those specific measures to ensure it could be effectively implemented, which involved strengthening supplier management,improving the quality of procurement personnel and strengthening inventory management in chapter 5.Finally, this study summarized the innovation:mainly analyzed the case of NXP, redesigned the procurement management pattern in terms of supply chain management for it. Also proposed the conception of inventory management with suppliers together. At the same time, pointed out the research deficiencies and future research prospective: the procurement management pattern in this study is just a conception in theory, rather running in practice, which needs to be continuously improved in subsequent practice.
