Study On The Path Of Upgrading Chinese Integrate Circuit Industry Based On Global Value Chain Theory

IC industry is the basic and one of the most influential industry of national economy, Its growth rate and development level impact on one county's comprehensive strength of technology and economic. There is a large trade deficit between IC products import and export in China. The core technology of Chinese IC industry has been controlled by the developed countries. Chinese IC industry is in the lower-level position in the industrial chain. Therefore, on the background of global value chains, exploring the problems which concern the industry chain structure, industry status and development paths of Chinese IC industry has important meaning for researching the upgrading of Chinese IC industry. The purpose of this study is to describe how to use the positive effect of Chinese IC manufacturing, packaging and testing industry and upgrade the position of design industry and realize overall upgrading base on international industrial transfer conditions.First of all, in the foundation of the domestic and international studies research, this paper reviews the theory of global value chains, the research of IC industry upgrading, the studies of upgrading path. Then, the paper analyzes and research the history and status of global IC industry, industry chain structure of Chinese IC industry, upgrading path of Chinese IC industry based on global value chain theory.According to the above research work, this paper gets as follows main conclusion:(1) By upgrading from the process, product, feature to chain to enhance the industry position in the global value chain. IC industry will move to the leader position gradually and control the core technology.(2) Upgrade of traditional manufacturing model isn't suitable for IC industry unless the design industry joint manufacturing, packaging and testing industry for a parallel upgrade, Only in this way can we upgrade the overall IC industry(3) National policy should put more effort in personnel training strategy, investment policy and intellectual property protection aspects. China's IC industry should grasp the opportunities when developing country's new strategic industries and speed up industry joint.
