The Research Of Technical Efficiency Of China's Shipbuilding Enterprises Based On DEA

The shipbuilding industry is an important part in the national economy. One hand, the shipbuilding industry provides a certain amount of technical equipment for the development of marine resources and it is more important is that the development of shipbuilding industry promote economic and trade development. The shipbuilding industry can stimulate the rapid development of a country's industrialization and modernization process, and drive GDP growth. With the rapid growth of national economy and foreign trade, China's shipbuilding industry has acquired sustaining, healthy and rapid development and shipbuilding capacity is growing. So that China's shipbuilding industry's influence continued to improve in the international community. China has become the world's most influential one of shipbuilding and China really sets up a shipbuilding country's status, creating the "three pillars" of the new pattern of world shipbuilding with South Korea, Japan.However, compared to the shipbuilding company of South Korea, Japan, Europe and other countries, China's shipbuilding industry has a big gap in construction costs, integration technology, industrial scale, high rate of shipbuilding, ship models, the design, manufacturing and management. Their productivity gap is very large, which is the root causes that China's total shipbuilding output and economic growth have no synchronous growth and sustainable development.Currently, there are a lot of research has been into the core competitive research of China's shipbuilding industry. However, the technical efficiency research of China's shipbuilding enterprises is still in the initial stage. Therefore, studying the technical efficiency of China's shipbuilding enterprises has a very important practical significance for improving status of the China's shipbuilding enterprise and accelerating the healthy development of shipbuilding industry of their own and promoting advances in the whole shipbuilding industry.Based on this, firstly, this article analyzes the status of China's shipbuilding industry and states the strengths and weaknesses. Secondly, this article selects the 2005-2010 data for six years and ten domestic shipbuilding enterprises and uses Chinese statistics available data. Based on the existing research, the article uses data envelopment analysis to measure technical efficiency of China's shipbuilding enterprises. Then according to the technical efficiency of each shipbuilding enterprise, the input-output indicators are to be adjusted. At last, through learning from the experience of shipbuilding enterprises in South Korea and Japan, this article proposes measures and suggestions to increase the technical efficiency of China's shipbuilding enterprises and provides a theoretical basis to improve the technology efficiency of our shipbuilding enterprises.
