Study On The Evaluation Of The Western Provincial Cities Land-Using Efficiency

Researching the Urban Land-using efficiency has an important realistic meaning in improving the Urban Land-using efficiency and saving land resources. Firstly, this thesis briefly introduces the theories of urban land-using efficiency at home and abroad, on this basis, defines the definition and connotation of the urban land-using from the macro perspective. Secondly, after comparing the present evaluation method, choose DEA method to evaluate the urban land-using efficiency. This study of land-using efficiency starts from the input and output index, then analyzes the land-using efficiency of the western provincial cities in five successive years with the CCR model and BCC model. It helps to find the resources-using condition and effect factor of cities in the western region through the horizontally comparative analysis, and to find the development trend of land-using efficiency through the vertically comparative analysis. This thesis also analyzes the land-using efficiency of Hohhot from 2004 to 2008. Finally, studies on the slack variable can help the western region governments to formulate and adjust the policy, to determine the level of input, to optimize allocation of resources and improve the urban land-using efficiency.
