Study On The Urban Employment Of The New Generation Migrant Workers

Thirty years of reform and opening up, China's economy has developed rapidly, migrant workers play an important role in the process. Today, the world economy show a good momentum, but there are crises, the new generation of migrant workers are growing up gradually and facing with more opportunities and challenges. The central document of Chinese government in 2010 used "the new generation of migrant workers" to define this new group in first document for the first time, and pointed out that "targeted measures should be taken to solve the problem of the new generation of migrant workers", aroused the community's extensive concern. Because they born and grow from different times and environment, the new generation of migrant workers have essentially distinction with migrant workers, so we can no longer look upon this new group as traditional migrant workers, they have special characteristic of the times and group. Although some of them grow up in the city, even though they and the young people of city have many in common, but due to the constraint of the household register, and the imperfection of the existing institutional system, the new generation of migrant workers encounter various of unfair treatment in the process of urban employment, living in the fringe of the city. Concerning about the new generation of migrant workers, making efforts to solve the problem of their employment, in order to promot the economic development of China's economic transition and the development process of urbanization and the construction of the socialist harmonious society, has important theoretical and practical significance.Based on analyzing the current situation and problems of urban employment of the new generation migrant workers, this article learnes from the experience of abroad about labor force shift, trying to propose countermeasures and suggestions targeted to solve the problem of their urban employment. The main contents include several aspects as follows:The first part is introduction, including research background, purpose and meaning, domestic and foreign related research, research methods and technology roadmap; The second part elaborates the correlation theories and introduces the correlation concepts about the new generation of migrant workers and their urban employment. The third part introduces the overview of the transfer of rural labor force about the developed countries, the moderately developed countries and developing countries, summarizes enlightenmentes and experiences; The fourth part introduces the basic features of the new generation of migrant workers and analyzes the current situation and problems of their urban employment; The fifth part uses the SWOT analytical approach to analyze the advantages, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges about urban employment of the new generation migrant workers, and uses AHP to sort of the influence factores according to the importance, in order to propose countermeasures targeted; The sixth part proposes countermeasures and suggestions to solve the problem of urban employment of the new generation migrant workers.
