The Study On The Employment Stability Of The New Generation Migrant Workers

The new generation migrant workers is the dominant group of the rural migrant workers now. They are the main force in the urban and rural construction. The employment stability is directly related to the speed of the urbanization process in China. By means of statistics on the new generation migrant workers’employment situation in the manufacturing of Fuzhou, the author applied a scientific method and a mathematical model, combined quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis to finish this paper. First of all, based on an extensive literature and combining with the on-the-spot investigation, the author summed up and summarized the factors that influence the new generation migrant workers’employment stability. Second,the author builded up a binary logistic regression model and used the SPSS software to have a regression analysis. Based on a questionnaire survey,the results of regression were explained and discussed.The results show that the new generation migrant workers’ employment stability in the manufacturing of Fuzhou is on a low level. These factors which included age, cultural life satisfaction degree,housing condition, income, major spending, working environment satisfaction, vocational skills training, the payment of social insurance premiums, city integration degree and the recognition of job opportunities had a significant effect on the new generation migrant workers’ employment stability. Finally, based on the empirical analysis, This article tried to put forward some corresponding suggestions and measures in order to provides some targeted policies and measures for the governments and companies.
