Hebei Evaluation Of High-tech Industry Competitiveness

The 21st century is the era dominated by knowledge-based economy. High-tech industry as a pillar industry of knowledge economy, the leading role in economic growth has become more evident, and technology has risen to become one of the three factors of production which contains the two other elements of capital and labor. Currently, high-tech wave is spread to the world, science and technology becoming more competitive. Any country in the world in order to gain advantage on the overall strength must obtain the technology first, especially high-tech advantage. Therefore, evaluation of the competitiveness of high-tech industry has not only theoretical significance, but also has important practical significance.At present, domestic and foreign scholars in the evaluation of the competitiveness basically divided into countries, industries, enterprises and products of four levels. For the competitiveness of local high-tech industries, domestic regional have also been some degree of research, but the existing research results, domestic studies are concentrated in the evaluation system of the theoretical study, evaluation of high-tech industrial development zone, the local international competitiveness of high-tech industry research. Otherwise, the research is rarely at evaluation methods, quantitative analysis and the competitiveness evaluation of China's regional of high-tech industry, even near-empty for Hebei.As a starting point to define the concept, this paper referred to the evaluation review of competitiveness and drew on research methods. Using of factor analysis, this article analyzed the competitiveness of high-tech industries in Hebei Province, and provided suggestions for the development of high-tech industries.
