21st century is the era of knowledge-based economy, in which talent with new and hi-tech knowledge is the key force driving the survival and development of enterprise, the talent competition is the fundamental competition, a good salary mechanism is the most effective method to motivate talent's initiative. Company Z, a subsidiary of J group, focuses on research, development and manufacture of specialized electronic vacuum component, with over 50 years'expertise in electron tube research, development and manufacture. But the company did not fully keep up with the pace of development of the J Group. In recent years, Company Z continues to adjust the pace of development, adjust the organizational structure, strengthen the management system, and besides all these efforts, Compensation Management is the core and most sensitive part in human resource management.This article started from the basic theory of modern salary design and trend; take company Z as an example to illustrate its continuous improvement on the salary management during the business transformation process in recent years. And then, introduced the company background and salary model, pointed out the main challenges and difficulties through a staff pay satisfaction survey; then proposed a salary adjustment management objectives and basic principles; describe the post salary, performance salary, office rank promotion and the welfare system in detail, feedback and evaluated the implementation effect of adjustment. Finally summarized the text briefly and put forward the future research direction. The research results of this paper will instruct the salary management of company Z directly, besides, it also have reference value to guide the small and medium-sized state-owned enterprise, which is similar to company Z, to design and perfect the salary management according to their actual needs.
