An Research On The Effect Of Shanghai On The Yangtze River Delta Inbound Tourism Market

Yangtze River Delta (YRD) has a perfect foundation to cooperate on regional tourism exploitation due to the diversity of tourism resources, convenient transportation and mutual culture background. As a core city of YRD which is also an exclusive inbound tourism port, Shanghai has a radiant effect on YRD inbound tourism market, which is very significant for the development of YRD inbound tourism market. Thus, a research on radiant effect from Shanghai to YRD inbound tourism market can not only confirm in which degree did Shanghai bring along inbound tourism of Jiangsu and Zhejiang, but also help to confirm the course of YRD regional tourism cooperation, and that will be a reference for the practice of YRD regional tourismcooperation.The results indicate that inbound tourism cooperation of YRD shows a cascade network structure layout; The radiant effect on Jiangsu from Shanghai is relatively higher than that of Zhejiang, Suzhou and Hangzhou receive the highest level radiant effect from Shanghai; The assembling effect from Shanghai to Jiangsu and Zhejiang quickly boost up, and there is a balanced tourist flow distribution between Jiangsu and Zhejiang. Radiant effect from Shanghai inbound tourist flow has a great influence on the inbound tourism development, but the effect starts to decrease, which means the contribution of Shanghai has declined. The study results also show that economic restriction at administrative district, distribution of tourism resources, development of tourism enterprises and public traffic among cities are key factors which influence the radiant effect from Shanghai to YRD inbound tourism market; However, limited inbound tourism itinerary designs, homogenous position, concentrative distribution of node cities and unfashionable items have weakened radiant effect from Shanghai. At last, the author brings up several suggestions based on results above, such as how to play the main role of tourism enterprises, explore the regulatory patterns of regional economic organizations, and balance distribution of inbound tourist routes.This paper contains five chapters. The first chapter is summary for the research background, significance, methods and related researches at home and abroad. The second chapter make an analysis about the pattern of YRD inbound tourism, which contains introduction of the evaluative course and evaluative characteristics of YRD inbound tourism with temporal perspective. The third chapter make an analysis about characteristics of Shanghai's effect on YRD inbound tourism. Through empirical analysis, this chapter would explain characteristics of radiant effect from core city Shanghai to YRD inbound tourism from spatial and temporal dimensions, and there is also quantitative analysis about energy and potential energy of Shanghai inbound tourism to determine Shanghai's status and influence in this area. The fourth chapter would draw factors of Shanghai's effect on YRD inbound tourism with regional cooperative perspective and analyze disadvantages at the routes design of YRD inbound tourism; The last chapter would be suggestion and expectation, including drawbacks of study, research expectation and measures which can be taken by tourism industry to enhance Shanghai's influence on YRD inbound tourism.
