Due to such features as high precision requirement, close connection between machining design and manufacturing techniques and wide application of computer technology in equipments, modern manufacturing industry requires technical operators to master basic theoretical knowledge and various competences in technology application, as well as many necessary skills. These operators are often called versatile talents in the companies, and they are the talents that the modern manufacturing industry needs--high skilled personnel (HSP).The fostering of HSP becomes an important part in the human resources functions of the company, an indispensable part of human resources for the company to maintain its Competitiveness.Beginning with the definition of HSP, this thesis first expounds on the impact of HSP shortage on the Chinese manufacturing industry, and then analyses the importance of HSP education to the Chinese manufacturing industry; When studying on the approaches of overseas HSP education, this thesis focuses on the study of European HSP education. Setting the examples of German and British HSP education, this thesis analyses the advanced overseas experiences in HSP education, comes out with its implication to Chinese HSP education, serving as a theoretical reference to DF in HSP education.Next, from the perspective of industry background under which DF stands, the thesis the opportunities and challenges that DF faces, and analyses the importance of HSP to the growth of the company, as well as four major approaches in HSP education. Also, through questionnaire study and interviews, the thesis makes in-depth investigation into factors affecting HSP education in DF, and the current situation of HSP education in DF, as well as the expectations and satisfaction index of HSP toward the company. Through the study, the thesis spotted out the issues in HSP education, lauding a basis for the HSP training system for next step.Lastly, as the core of the thesis, the author suggests that due importance should be given to HSP education under the background of rapidly growing auto industry and building an internationalized DF company. The author then suggests on the HSP training system basing on DF strategy—a HSP training system aiming at improving the core competitiveness of DF: A HSP training system in such major forms of skill improvement training and day-to-day improvement activities, a HSP selection system basing on total professional skills competition, a HSP evaluation system with capability and performance orientation, and a HSP incentive system of dual-passage career development and salary incentives.
