Hotel Staff Training System In Thailand

21st Century is the era of knowledge based economy, Human resources has become the most important strategic resource. Training is the most important method of human resource development. In recent years, hotel industry is as one of the most dynamic industries in Thailand. It has been developed very rapidly. Nowadays, most hotels are only focus on profit, and disregard of developing and designing a better staff training program. Generally, hotels only manage some basic training for their staff in each department, but lack of constantly improving of the hotel training system. These situations have an impact on the efficiency of training system and the future development of hotel staff training in Thailand.This paper is based on background and discussion topics as mentioned above. It has explained the main point of hotel staff training and basis theory, summary description of the characteristics of Thai hotel staff training, emphasis on analyze the problem in hotel staff training in Thailand and cause of problem, and set up the design of Thailand staff training system.The paper is divided into five chapters:Chapter one is an introduction of research background and research content.Chapter two explains relevant theories related to hotel staff training system.Chapter three introduces the situation of human resources in Thailand hotels, the present of hotel staff training, discussion focus on the problem of hotel staff training and cause of problems.Chapter four sets up a design for Thailand hotel of staff training system.Chapter five illustrates an overall the conclusions.This paper examines the hotel staff training in Thailand; to clarify the current situation, training needs of hotel staff training, and build more standardize training system. Hopefully, this paper might be useful for Thai government, Tourism Authority of Thailand, Tourism organizations, teachers, students, and person who involved in tourism industry. Moreover, I hope the advice and suggestions in this paper will benefit Thai government and Thai tourism authority for further development of Thailand tourism.
