| Nowadays when competition becomes increasingly fierce, the production capacity of NPI products influences on the whole company's strategic development even life or death. Therefore, shortening the circle of producing NPI products, improving the success rate and customs satisfaction level, are what the company aiming at for a very long time. Based on the explanation of project management theory, methodology, common tools application, this thesis article explores how to introduce the advanced concepts and methods of project management into the NPI production, thereby develop the potential ability of NPI production to a large extent.The thesis, after a very detailed analysis of the features and problems of NSN NPI production, is intent to optimizes the management of TD-LTE NPI programs, with the Palm Model of program management which is developed by the author. The improvement is mainly focus on shortening the long TD-LTE production circle, and simplifying the complicated structure of organization which hold back the program operation a lot. The first step is to identify the six elements of Palm Model. By studying on the six elements, a set of tools and methods can be developed which are perfect fit for the NSN NPI production programs, then the problems found in the old NPI programs are analyzed, according to which a proposal to solve the problems are made. Finally, a series of project management criteria is proposed for virtual PMO; and a relevant communication management plan and platform according to the communication management concept is built. In the meantime, establish a set of management methods which is suitable for NPI production by organic composition of another 4 elements, for a better management of the similar projects in the future. Through the study of facts, the research of this paper makes contributions to prove the importance and notable effects of project management, particularly in the NPI production. It is valuable reference and practical guide to the companies which are engaged or will be engaged in NPI production. And it is well worth further studying and investigating. |
