China has large population, the employment problem has always attached greatly by the State. In particular, the global economic crisis outbreaked in 2008, the employment market in China had a huge impact. College students and migrant workers employment are difficult, and has become a major influence with the overall economic and social problems. However, in the new period of economic and social development, scientific and technological progress leads to changes, the impact on employment in China is extremely complex. It's important to study the overall effect to solve the employment problem in China.This paper firstly introduces the important role of the technological progress in economic development, changing the economic growth method and promoting the industrial structure upgrading. Strengthen scientific and technological progress is the economic and social development of China inevitable trend. Currently, our job market is not mature, mainstream job market and non-mainstream job market both have problems, which scientific and technological progress, industrial upgrading with personnel supply does not match the one of important reasons. This indicates that the scientific and technological progress impact the structure of our job market. Secondly, this article uses hierarchical regression analysis to model, and uses DEA to estimate the overall and secondary and tertiary industries TFP. On this basis, studying the impact and associated effects of scientific and technological progress, industrial structure upgrading changes on China's employment market. The results show that, on the whole, China's scientific and technological progress on employment growth has a significant effect; the secondary industry restricts employment growth; the tertiary industry promotes employment growth; industrial structure changes and urbanization both have a negative impact on employment. Finally, I make some suggestions and hope to provide some ideas for resolving the employment problem in China.
