The sustainability of economic growth can be measured by the effects of technological progress and the effects of structural change.Since the reform and opening up,the industry has always been an important part of China's national economy.With the disappearance of the demographic dividend,its development has been affected.In order to explore the sustainability of industrial economic growth,this paper examines the relationship between technological progress and industrial structure in industrial economic growth and defines its driving force for sustainable development.In addition,the impact of technological progress on economic growth is manifold.This paper also discusses the impact of changes in technology structure on productivity.Based on the above,we hope to provide economic and industrial policy recommendations for the future development of industry.This article adopts an empirical analysis method and selects relevant data from 15 industries in China's industry from 1985 to 2016 in an attempt to decompose the labor productivity and total factor growth rate.The effect of technological progress and the effect of structural change can be obtained.Through the analysis of the two studies,it shows that in the process of industrial economic growth,the contribution of industrial structure changes to economic growth is far lower than technological progress,that is,technological progress plays a major role in industrial economic growth.A similar analysis has also been conducted on the industrial sub-sectors and the above conclusions have also been reached.To further explore how technological advances have an impact on industrial economic growth,this paper also studied the relationship between technological structure changes and productivity,and selected panel data from 32 industries in China's industry from 1985 to 2016,using differential GMM estimationmethod examines the effect of structural changes in China's industrial technology on productivity growth.As a result,it has been found that changes in China's industrial technology structure promote productivity growth,which is a positive effect.Economic Growth Technological Progress Effect Structural Change Effect Industrial Structure Technical Structure.
