Recently, the development of globalization improve efficiency, reduceproduction cost and shorten the distance between enterprises; but alsoenterprises depending on each other makes the whole supply chain systemmore vulnerable and the environment more complicated. This leads that oncean emergency happens to a node Enterprise, it will impact related supplychain members quickly, this kind of negative impact would spread along thesupply chain network and get to more and more enterprises and cause damagethem. Based on this, it is very important to research supply chainemergencies.This paper studies the loss assessment of emergencies in supply chain. Itfocuses on the loss assessment during the process during which supply chainemergency impacts the enterprise and the whole supply chain. First, this paperstudies the characters of emergences especially supply chain emergencies aswell as the classification, impact range and characteristics of supply chainemergency, divides the whole loss process into some stages, analyses thefactors which would impact the loss process, and lost bring out a new methodnamed superposition method to assess the loss during the emergency insupply chain.This paper is consisted of four parts which includes six chapters. Themain ideas of each chapter are as follows:Part I is the introduction of why this topic is chosen and how the realworld is like. Chapter one told us the background the research, and theframework of the whole essay. Chapter two reviewed the related studies,researching tools and methods in this area of loss assessment of supply chainemergencies. PartⅡis the theory basis for the following study and includes justchapter three. Chapter three divided the whole process that the supply chainemergency causes damage into some stages, analyses the three main factorswhich would impact the loss process, and supports the following researchwork.PartⅢis the basic study for the following research. Chapter fourbrings out a new assessment method——superposition method which wouldsuitable while assessing the loss during supply chain emergency, gives theflow chart of the method as well as details of assessing steps. Chapter fivechooses an exclusive store which sells dairy product as an example for deeperresearch.PartⅣis the summary of the whole paper which includes chapter six.Chapter six concludes the whole essay, and point out the research direction inthe future.
