Advantage Of Agricultural Resources And Its Utilization In Maowusu Sandland

It is important to study and exploit the regional advantage agricultural resources for developing regional advantage and economy. Maowusu sandland locates in the aridity region in north China. There are fine light and warm climate, soil, wilding, water and other agricultural resources compared to Kubuqi, Wulanbu and other desert areas. To exploit and take full of these resources plays a role to protect and improve the ecologic environment, to dig agricultural productive potential, and to develop regional economy in Maowusu sandland. Based on the agricultural resources and the analysis of the utilization and the resources investigation this paper studies the condition of sandland plants resources and its productivity and the ecosystem of agriculture. The main conclusions as follows:(1) The form of Maowusu sandland is a long process and its development speeds up with the increase of the human being. The growth and development of Maowusu sandland enlarge continually with the frequent act of human being and the variance of society.(2) The light and warm climate resources are rich in Maowusu sandland. The light is in full (sunlight hours: 2900-3200h), sunlight radiant intensity is strong (the yearly total quantity of sunlight radiant intensity from south to north is increased from 138 to 151 kcal/cm~2), the quantity of heat is abundance, the difference of the temperature between day and night is high and the photosynthesis productive potential is big.(3) The water resources in Maowusu sandland is affluence comparatively, the yearly rainfall is 277-470mm, and the water runoff in east is 2.08* 10~9m~3/y, the replenishment is 1.56*10~9m~3/y, and the water runoff in north is 5.27* 10~8m~3, and the agricultural and graze productive potential is great.(4) The soil resources in Maowusu sandland is affluence comparatively, multiplicity, amplitude, the areas of every people of plowland, grass and forestry is more than that of the average level in our country.(5) There are many plant resources compared to Kubuqi, Wulanbuhe and other desert areas. They are the good resources to protect and beautify the environment.(6) The ecosystem of agriculture in Maowusu sandland is a compound including field, grass, and forestry, and the eco-environment is poor, the structure of agriculture, forestry and grass is irrationality with the growth of the population, and other factors. So the system is low and quiet, and has a little benefit.It was suggested in this study that the sustainable development ways of system production should be as follows. (1) The newly high efficiency desert agriculture with regional characteristics should be developed in order to make good use of the great advantages. In order to utilize the irrigated land and improve the level of sandland production by means of some measures should be taken to utilize the good conditions. (2)It is necessary to build and protect forestry in order to control soil erosion by means of building terraced fields, other water collected projects and shelter-belt. (3) The material and technique putting into production should be increased to raise the development productive potentiality. (4)The WUE will also increase with the increase of yield. (5) It is important to build and improve the fine quality of the grass land base, to make achievements of scientific research into productive forces quickly for developing sustainably.
