Disk gear is one of the important components of the automobile gearbox, which plays a change speed role in change speed system of the automobile. Due to large varieties and high quality, the production management has become very difficult. Therefore, it is necessary to study and improve the production management of the gear in order to improve efficiency, enhance quality and reduce cost.In recent years, Lean Production popularizes extensively worldwide, especially in the fields of aviation and car manufacturing. The basic idea of Lean Production is to eliminate any waste in production process and realize Just-In-Time production. It demands enterprise to produce the necessary products at the necessary time and quantity, and meet the requirement of customer. It is very helpful for enterprise to reduce cost and increase economic efficiency.The whole paper consists of 5 chapters. Chapter 1 proposes the research range, background and significance of the subject, the application state and existing problems of the Lean Production in domestic and abroad. Meanwhile the necessary of applying Lean Production in Chinese enterprise is discussed in this chapter. Chapter 2 introduces the concept and origin of the Lean Production, describes the principle of Lean Production from the concept of the Lean Production, and detailedly compares the Lean Production with Mass Production. Chapter 3 analyses the production management of YuQing Corporation by the principle and method of Lean Production. From production plan, machine process, locale material flow to locale management, the author analyses the value of every activity and finds out the existing problems and waste by value flow chart and 5W1H methods. Chapter 4 proposes improvement scheme to the unvalued and unreasonable step based on the analysis for production and value. The improvement scheme range includes plan management, information transport in production process, technics, equipment disposing, material flow, locale management and so on. Chapter 5 concludes that the implementation of Lean Production can eliminate waste in production process, decrease production cost and inventory, and improve gear quality and enterprise competition.
