Research On The Enterprise Informatization By Strategic Orientation

Since the informatization is nowadays the general trend of the world, which is one of the most important engines for the development and transform of the economic society, together with the changes of the international trade environment and that china has joined the WTO, our enterprises have to confront the huge challenge of the globlized competition in the informatizied society. Every enterprise should be able to deal with the matter that how to combine the contemporary IT with management practice, especially with advanced management thinking to create the value of information system (IS) so that the goal of increasing the enterprise' s kernel competitive advantage could be attained. Enterprise Informatization (EI) is not only an inexorable trend, but also a fundamental requirement for the future business. The Enterprise Informatization Strategy (EIS) has certainly become an indispensable part of the whole.In the first place, the necessity and importance research on EIS is discussed. Secondly, the history and condition of EI is analyzed, incl. its crucial milestones and characteristics, its effectiveness and application achievements as well as its main issues at home and abroad. Then the strategic countermeasures are studied, incl. the national policy; the process of realization and promotion; the essential factors and its planning, along with its key elements under the new situation today.In the theoretical sense, the combination of the correlative theories as an organic whole, such as Information Resource Integration Management, Evaluation-based IS Value Management, "Value Chain" Management, Project Management Body of Knowledge, Business Continuity Management, Software Engineering, Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) and Enterprise Strategy Management, enriches the contents and methods applied to deliberate EIS.From the aspect of feasibility, some new concepts and architectures are created, incl. Continuity "Work Chain" for EI; development pattern for more complex, high-speed growing information system; and CSCW-based model for EIS.In addition, two cases are introduced, which help us acquire a better understanding of the effect of EIS, have a true understanding of what Prof. M ·Porter said: Dangerous strategy amount to dangerous cooperation. Lastly, based on the overall summary of the thesis, the future expectation of the research on EIS is briefly described.
