A Study On The Tourism Exploitation Of The Folklore In Zitong

This M.A. thesis discusses the achievement and insufficiency on tourism exploitation in Zitong County, Sichuan Province, by making the field research on the tourism resources of the Taimiao in Qiqu Mountain so as to analyze its present exploiting situation of the Wenchang Dogma and provides with suggestions concerned.Zitong County is abundant in tourism resources, most of which is the Taimiao temple in Qiqu Mountain. As the authentic palace of the Emperor Wenchang in China, the Taimiao temple has a very important position in Sichuan and China and even abroad. For the numerous believers of the Emperor Wenchang, this temple has become the believers' center. In Zitong County there are a lot of correlative folklore activities on Wenchang dogma such as Sacrifice Ceremony, Fair for the Divine, Dongjing Misic, Yang Drama in Zitong, Lantern Show in Daxing, and a lot of cultural landscapes including Corridor of Carved Clouds, Spring of the Sword, Five Women Terrace, Longdong Inn, in addition with various refection and local products.The Zitong county government has exploited the tourism resources by using the Wenchang Dogma in the Taimiao in Qiqu Mountain, by means of which increases the job opportunity for local labours in order to drive forward the local economy, protect the Taimiao with open-door policy situation, enforce the management inside and outside the temple and preserve the folk culture inclunding the Dongjing Music.
