Study On Designing The Supply Chain Management Mode And Operating Mechanisms Of Honeydew Melon For Minqin County

Entry WTO, the compared advantages of land-concentrated agri-product such as grain, oil and cotton are decreased gradually, and their product cost is higher then the cost of international market. However, labor-concentrated agri-product such as fruit, vegetable, livestock products, and aquatic product has dominantly compared advantages in price and quantity, but in quality, safety, health and nutrition, the competition of these products is weak relatively. Meanwhile, with the raising of people'income standards, their demands for agri-product are increased quickly, and which includes quantity demands and quality demands. So how to improve the quality of agri-product, strengthen its competition are urgent and necessary under this situation. Hence, based on industry theory and supply chain management theory, this paper explore the honeydew melon industry's developing situation of supply and demands in Minqin county systematically by using SPSS statistics software, value chain analysis and SWOT analysis means,. The aim of which is starting with analyzing the demands of consumer, then by mediating and coordinating the fund flow, materiel flow and information flow in honeydew melon supply chain, finally making the planting, harvest, processing, cooling, transporting, wholesaling and retailing connected and become an efficiency and beneficial supply chain mode.The logical order of this paper is as following: Firstly, introducing the research background, aim, meanings and methods of this paper. Reviewing the theoretical research about supply chain, supply chain management and agri-product supply chain management, all of these are to offer theoretical base for designing honeydew melon supply chain management mode. Secondly, one hand, by consulting literature and investigating on the spot, the paper states the supply work flow and supply chain partnership in Minqin honeydew melon industry, analyzes the whole honeydew supply chain by value chain method, and points out the characteristics of the present honeydew melon supply chain. Another hand, using frequency analysis and crosstab analysis, the paper describes the main characteristics of honeydew melon that consumers accepted and the main factors which effects honeydew melon's consumptions. Using SWOT analysis method states the strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for developing Minqin honeydew melon industry, explores the feasibility and necessity to implement supply chain management in honeydew melon industry. All these are to offer practical base for designing honeydew melon supply chain management mode. At last, based on exampling the fruit supply chain management of Aramaic and Japan, concluding their characteristics, combining with the present situation of Minqin honeydew melon industry, the paper designs the supply chain management mode and six operating mechanisms for Minqin honeydew melon industry, which selects melon planter cooperation origination as the coordinated center in whole supply chain.The main research conclusion of this paper as following: Analyzing from the view of...
