Investigation of tourist satisfaction (TS) offers important referential values in developing, building, running and management of tourist attractions.Concept of tourist satisfaction and the corresponding connotation conclude not only the definition, but also influence factors, psychological reflections, model of TS and index system.Investigation on TS of single tourist attraction contains the following steps:① Determing sample amout; ② Designing questionnaire; ③ Choosing manners of handing out questionnaire;④Initially tidying questionnaire;⑤Analyzing investigation data;⑥Drawing investigation conclusions.Investigation on TS of multiple tourist attractions is the extension of the investigation on TS of single tourist attractions. It contains the following steps: ① Determing comparative array; ②Determing analyzing array; ③Undimensionalizing comparative array; ④Determing weight of the indexes; ⑤Calculating relative value of the array; ⑥Analyzing investigation data and drawing corresponding conclusions.The paper gives the following suggestions to promoting TS: Trying to understanding real demand of tourists; Strengthening service consciousness; Offering more values to tourists; Standardizing and/or deferring service; Fullfilling and promoting tour experiences; Strengthening marketing of tourist attraction; Paying more attentions on important tourist groups; Promoting staff logyalty of tourist attractions.On the basis of theory study, the paper selects part fruit of Dalian General Planning on Tourism Development (2006-2020) as a case to darify how to investigate tourist satisfaction according to concrete conditions.
