Adopting modern enterprise human resource management theory, the Paper provides facts, summary, analysis on the existing status of performance assessment on power supply enterprises in Anhui. Adopting the methods of theory guiding practice, fact finding with study and comparative analysis, taking performance assessment by key performance indicators system as its reference, the Paper defines performance assessment indicators for Anhui power supply enterprises. Adopting Delphi method, the Paper identifies the weights of various indicators, sets up a performance assessment system for Anhui power supply enterprises. Applying this newly set up system, the paper presents a practical study on the performance of Anhui power supply enterprises in 2005. By comparing the assessment results of such study with the assessment results using existing method, the paper analyses the features of each assessment method. The fact shows that the performance assessment system set up in the paper meets the assessment requirements on provincial and city level power supply enterprises in Anhui under the environment of reform and development, can be taken as a reference for such assessment on other power supply enterprises. The system has practical value in enhancing core capabilities and competitiveness of power supply enterprises, and ensuring its healthy development.
