Knowledge is considered as an important resource for enterprise to improve performance and sustain competitive advantage. In recent years, knowledge management has brought a lot of attention from academic and business communities. Aviation products have a great impact on the national defense and economy development. But the current management mode and managerial tools have restricted the aviation product innovation. Therefore, the advanced theory and methods are needed to direct the innovation management of aviation products. The purpose of this paper is to analyze and discuss the application of KM theory in aviation product innovation by the theoretical and empirical methodology. This paper sought to investigate the joint impact of organizational structure, culture and IT on knowledge management and innovation performance, the influence of knowledge management on innovation performance. Based on existing literature about knowledge management and complex product systems, ten hypotheses and a conceptual model were developed regarding the interrelationship of the five constructs: organizational structure, culture, IT, knowledge management and innovation performance.A survey was conducted to collect data on participants' perceptions of their organizations' structure, culture, IT, knowledge management and innovation performance. We sent 285 questionnaires by e-mail or postal mail. Ultimately, 190 effective questionnaires were received and became test data in this paper. Then we used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to test the conceptual model and ten hypothesized relationships. SPSS software and Amos graphics was taken as an analysis tools. Afterwards, we viewed all the outputs and analyzed the results to make clear all the relationships among this model. There are main conclusions that can be drawn from the thesis:(1) Organizational structure, culture and IT factors were three different aspects of organizational factors that can affect innovation performance.
