Modern logistics has developed a lot with the progress of economy and the expanding influence of global informationization. At present, logistics has been one important part of national economy. For many companies, logistics service not only is the third source of the profits, but also is looked as the core competition. Besides, Logistics service is the strategic resource which presents the advantage of companies to win the game. As to one economic region, logistics service level determines the competing ability of the region and assures sustainable development of the region as well. Companies can get reasonable logistics service by systemizing the logistics, however we must harmonize the regional logistics to reduce the cost of logistics service to access more efficient logistics service of one region. Optimal size and location planning is the base for the low cost of regional logistics service, so location planning of regional logistics center is focused by us. The paper gives a set of steps to decide the most reasonable size and location of regional logistics center based on analyzing the relative results (national and international), and then studies an application in one region.Firstly, Part 1 introduces the background of the paper's research. Then we come up with the meanings of the research, it includes effect of modern logistics and effect of location planning on construction of logistics center. In the end, we offer a conclusion of relative results of location planning of regional logistics center, and present content of this research, so does the technical course.In Part 2, we analyze the logistics and logistics center, and then the principles of logistics center location planning are proposed. Furthermore, material suggestions about regional logistics center planning, construction and management under Chinese situations are presented based on previous work.Part 3 shows that regional logistics demand forecast play a significant role in parallel logistics planning and construction building and thus the former is the basis of logistics research. This part presents a regional logistics demand forecast technique. Evaluations on many other techniques of logistics demand forecast (national and international) are also provided. In the past, many models about location planning of logistics center have been presented and Part 4 analyzes those models'properties and suggests their applicable conditions. After the analysis about the cost of logistics operating, a path-choice-based model is offered to settle the problem of regional logistics center'location planning. And this model is bi-level so as to depict the relationship between the travel cost of customer and the location of regional logistics center. The associational computational procedure is given.Part 5 exhibits how to select the location of logistics center over a given road network concretely. Through using the technique proposed in this paper, reasonable logistics center's location and magnitude can be determined. Thus the whole process of logistics center's location planning is described explicitly.Finally, concluding remarks and innovative issues of this paper are given. The discussion of further research is also proposed. |
