Studies On Independent Innovation In Yangtze River Delta Region

Economists have focused on the regional innovation from researching the regional development since Cooke (in 1992) proposed the regional innovation, because the knowledge and the technology become much more important in the economical development. The final power of the national long-term economy growth doesn't come from the natural resources and the increasing of material capital quantity and the scale expansion based on the new economical growth theory, but comes from the accumulation of knowledge and human capital. With knowledge economy development and technical globalization, ability of the regional innovation will play a important role in the regional economy development, and the regional independent innovation has become a key point in regional competitive.The Yangtze River delta has the quickest rate of economic development, also it is rich in economic outputs and technical resources. In 2004, The Yangtze River delta region created 26% of national GDP with 1% national land and 6.3% national populations, completed 37% national foreign trade export, and absorbed 52% national actual foreign capital. This region has 15 state-level high and new technology industry zones, 13 state-level economic zones, 21 provincial level high and new technology industry zones. Therefore, The Yangtze River delta regional Independent innovation ability is very important in constructing independent-innovation-country.This paper first analyzes the advantages of the Yangtze River delta regional independent innovation based on Chinese and foreign literature resources. This paper analyzed the independent innovation factors of the Yangtze River delta region by taking the independent innovation main body as the studying center, and selectes some important factors. Than, construct the evaluation system of the independent innovation to analyze the Yangtze River delta regional independent innovation, last carries out the empirical analysis. This paper takes some main methods: select some important independent innovation factors with GEM method; Analyzes the ability of the Yangtze River delta regional independent innovation with Synthetic Evaluation, and independent innovation factors'weights are determined by AHP method.This paper calculates the ability of Yangtze River delta regional independent innovation based on data. Also proposes some questions, for example, power insufficiency of Yangtze River delta regional independent innovation and so on. Enhancing independent innovation ability need lots of things, increasing independent innovation ability must pay great attention to the accumulation of each kind ofknowledge. At the same time, the balance between technical introduction and technical independent researching is very important in the formation of the Yangtze River delta independent innovation ability.
