International project contract, which creates huge profits every year, is a prospective industry and many contractors are lured into this market in the world-wide. Chinese contractors are trying to step into this market either. International project contract industry is full of unlimited business opportunities, at the same time, it also has great risks. It is reported that there are a group of contractors to draw back form the top 225 list every year. How to gain the enough market shares to survive in this international construction market, which is full of opportunities as well as challenges, has become the urgent problem needed to be solved for our contractors.This article found out the difference, which includes seven aspects from bid methods, qualification prejudication, contract terms, project situation, and quote basement to administration between abroad and domestic project contract bid through the comparison and analysis. And seven points of suggestions were provided to our contractors. Based on the results of comparison and analysis, this article suggested the domestic project bid can be improved through 10 aspects, from law, regulation, supervision, administration to the market.
