A Study On The Improvement Of Management By Using Information Technology-For A Construction Company

As a traditional industry, it is a key issue on how to improve its management level by selecting a suitable mode of information system.To fulfill the demand in a changing environment when China enters into WTO.This paper is an attempt to explore some useful solutions. For the improvement of management by using the information technology for China Construction Third Engineering Corporation.The reason why this topic is chosen is mainly because:1. Traditional management method is lag behind the market environment;2. It is necessary to reduce the management cost to against the market competition;3. In order to satisfy the quick -response, it also needs to use the unified standard and systematic management method;4. Also, the integration of engineering process is needed to increase the effectiveness of the management.Therefore, the key issues for managers to solve are how to improve the qualification and comprehensive competition ability of the company, to enhance the technique innovation and to create maximum profit from management. So.the change from traditional management mode to modern style is critical and to be adapted as soon as possible.Supported by relevant theories, this paper starts with the evaluation of current situation of China Construction Third Engineering Corporation. After the analysis of existing problems, the author gives a solution on how to construct the information platform by using the principles like "BPR and ERP". According to this information framework, the author also gives some suggestions for further implementation.
