Research On The Cohesion Of Industry Cluster

As a new form of industry organization, industry cluster won vast approval nowadays because of its strong cohesive force and comparative advantages. Although played vital part in the national economy, the industry cluster itself, being a new undertaking, still had many problems, such as administration framework inside the cluster, interrelationship among enterprises, systemic layers of the whole cluster. So the integrated benefit of the clusters suffered a lot. Because of the different development states of different clusters, it was difficult to measure industry clusters' cohesion force by the general evaluation system.Avoiding the traditional research method, which only took the macro-analysis, this article had an insight into the economic activities of the single enterprises and their inner-contacts. First, design a new model; then set down the standards; finally, bring forward the questions, a new all-around evaluation system was rebuilt to analyze the above questions. Finally the author chose the hardware industries in Yongkang city as the examples to do the demonstrations. This research opened a new angle to comprehend the issue and would help the government to improve the clusters' cohesion state.In the first part, after studied the three main characteristics of the industry cluster-flexibility & specialty, cooperation based on competition, social applicability & local affiliation, the writer pointed out that the micro-unit's economic actions had great effect on the cohesion of the clusters, which must be absorbed into the evaluation system. So the renewed definition of the cohesion should consist of two layers-the inside part and the outside part.
