In the informationlization and financial reform background, Ministry of Finance of China initiated establishing Government Financial Management Information System (shorted in GFMIS), in order to informationlize fiscal operation, heighten decision-making and financial management criterion and science, using financial information resource adequately to prevent capital from intercept, misuse or sedimentation. By several years construct, it was improved GFMIS was an effective means to financial reform.However, because of separate GFMIS, it is very difficult to share financial operation date (FOD). Compared with numerous of information data, knowledge is poor of decision-making and management. So a critical problem is how to translate FOD into structure knowledge to elevate efficiency of financial decision-making and rapid responding capability to financial branch of government. Therefore, the author applied knowledge management theory to the GFMIS from knowledge perspective. There are seven parts in this paper. Firstly, introduction; Secondly, defined the research problem. Thirdly, explained circumstance and deficiency of GFMIS. Fourthly, after analyzing existing key problems and the knowledge flow, the author put forward an application mode for the GFMIS orientated knowledge management. Fifthly, the author gave a scheme how to carry out the GFMIS orientated knowledge management. Sixthly, analyzed impediment and suggested countermeasures based on mining of knowledge management while operation GFMIS orientated knowledge management. Lastly, the author gave a case to illustration this application mode.However, because of limited time, the author couldn't pay attention to some detailed problems, whereas they are interesting and full of meaning, for example, knowledge requirement for different management levels in the financial branch of government.
