The author looks back the relational theories of industrial structure and employment structure and find the meaning of relational concepts. On such basis, the author takes full use of analyses of correlations, comparative labor productivity, industrial structure departure degree, industrial dilational elasticity, employment elasticity of GDP and different industry and DEA to illustrate impact of industrial structure transition of Foshan city on its employment structure. Then, the author gets some important conclusions listed below.The conclusion of the analysis of correlations shows that there are the favorable interactions between industrial structure transition and employment structure transition. During the period of the transition, they keep on promoting and propelling each other, especially in the territory industry.By the analyses of comparative labor productivity and industrial structure departure degree, the author thinks that the benefit of the structure of the primary and secondary industry in foshan city is much better than in guangdong province. The comparative labor productivity of the secondary industry is much lower than guangdong province obviously. The rate of ascending in the ratio of GDP is lower than the employment in the secondary industry. The character of labor-intensive is obvious in the secondary industry, and the effect of increasing efficiency and expanding capacity is becoming weak.From the conclusions of the analysis of industrial dilational elasticity, the primary industry is shrinking.
