Current Situation Of Cotton Industrialization And Way Of Sustainable Development In Jiangsu Farms

The cotton production situation in all Jiangsu farms with Dongxin Farm as example were taken to analyze the factors effecting cotton production and the approaches of cotton industrialization through related literature data, interview and case study. The results indicated that the price of lint cotton and the economic benefit were the most important factors effecting the farmers to plant cotton. The safeguard system of economic risk and the technological service system could maintained the cotton production in steady situation. The sound and strong system of the cotton industrialization was benefit to improve the cotton production. Developing the leading cotton enterprises was the basis of cotton industrialization in Jiangsu Farms. Maintainning stable planting area of cotton was the guarantee of cotton industrialization. The policy of combination of cotton process and agriculture was the key to develop cotton production steadily. The benefit ways to plant cotton were as followed: Devoting more allowance to cotton farmers, guarantying the farmers'benefits, changing the way of developing cotton industrialization. The four key measures required to take effectively, that was applying the flexible management mode of the cotton industrialization, enhancing the product quality of the leading enterprises, boosting up the market competitive of the products, establishing and perfecting the system of technological service.
