The Development Of Manufacturing And Adjustment Of Industrial Structure In The Less-developed Areas Of Southeast China

The differences of economic development stage between different areas in any of the 6 provinces in southeast China, viz. Shandong, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, are obvious. Considering Fujian Province as an example, the GDP per person in developed area and less-developed area in 2004 is respectively 28341.05RMB and 12157.49RMB, the same index in Fujian Province and China in the same year is respectively 17977.68RMB and 10529.89RMB. The amount of the GDP per person in less-developed area is just a little more than that in China but only 67.63% of that in Fujian Province and 42.90% of that in developed area.It's a problem with great theoretical and realistic value to promote the economy in less-developed areas of southeast China. By using the theoretical and empirical methods, this thesis analyzed the problem from the angle of industrial structure adjustment and manufacturing development first, and then emphasized the importance of industrial cluster and environment protection. The main contents of this thesis are as follows:Chapter 1: A summary of the less-developed areas in southeast China. Firstly, the author expatiated the intension and criterion of less-developed area. Secondly, the author picked out the 44 less-developed areas in the 6 provinces in southeast China based on the data of 2004. Thirdly, the author discussed the basic features of the less-developed areas in southeast China.Chapter 2: It's a basic approach to adjust and transfer the industrial structure in the less-developed areas of southeast China by developing manufacturing.
