Research On The Cluster Innovation Of Automobile Industry In Jilin Province

With WTO`s removal of the trade barrier to Chinese automobile industry and the constant station of foreign motor corporations, it seems particularly important for domestic automobile industry to decide to deploy what kind of strategy and what kind of mode. As one of pillar industries in China, automobile industries form all over the country are exploring developing road in order to meet new challenges In view of experiences and summaries form all developed automobile industries, industry cluster development turns out to be a good way for automobile industry in China.With its rich materials and technological foundation, the automobile industry of Jilin province is the cradle and the important component of Chinese automobile industry. With the proposition of the principle"Revitalize the old Industrial Base in Northeast region", the development of automobile industry in Jilin province seems much more important, so does its cluster development. Automobile industry cluster began to take shape more than 100 years ago in the west and has already taken on intact systems in many developed regions. In our country, its embryonic form appeared in such regions, as Guangzhou, Jilin, Beijing. But there indeed lacks of a intact system for the development of automobile industry cluster in China. Therefore, by virtue of characteristic of Chinese automobile industry, combined with foreign development mode of cluster development in developed automobile areas, it is significant to establish an appraisal modal for cluster innovation of automobile industry in Jilin province.The thesis includes five chapters. On the basis of basic theories of cluster development and cluster innovation, through the analysis of the current situation of automobile industry in China as a whole , as well as Jilin province ,the thesis tries to establish an appraisal modals for cluster development and cluster innovation, and then tries to put forward corresponding development measures.Chapter I is the introduction..A brief information about the research background, research method and the paper structure is given in the chapter I. Chapter II is the illustrates theories of cluster development and cluster innovation. The definitions and the functions of the cluster development and the cluster innovation are clarified at first on the basis of the literature review of theories of cluster innovation at home and at abroad. Chapter II goes to explain the cooperative relation between the cluster development and the cluster innovation.Chapter III analyzes the current situation of automobile industry in Jilin province. As for the situation of the cluster development, problems are pointed as follows: the independent development, and low degree of intensification, the development of details companies fall behind that of entire motor companies ; with the single financing way and the shortage of funds ,sustainable reconstruction competence is not well cultivated; then there are heavy society burdens of state owned enterprises and low competence of international competition.As for the cluster innovation, the analyses are conducted from such aspects as the competence of knowledge creation, competence of knowledge flowing, the competence of technology innovation, regional innovative environment as well as the economic environment of innovation.Chapter IV puts forward the appraisal model of the cluster innovation of automobile industry in Jilin province. The model is constructed on the basis of the effective factor analysis. By using spss14.0 for Windows, a horizontal factor analysis is carried out in the evaluation of the cluster innovation competence of such automobile industries as that in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Haerbin.A vertical factor analysis is done in that of Jilin province arranging from the year of 1998 to the year of 2005.After that the innovation competence of industry cluster development is taking a good way in Jilin province. Though it is a good news, while there is still competence difference from other developed automobile industry cluster because of such short comings as follows: the lack of the devotion to innovation, especially to the technical development, to the research as well as to the transformation and industrialization of innovative products, The main points go as follows: the imperfect system of the cluster development in Jilin imperfect institution of factory and university and research organ cooperate; Government's inadequate force to implement the system of service, the system of risk investment as well as the policy of talents.Chapter V suggests development strategies of the cluster innovation of automobile industry in Jilin, with the reference to foreign and domestic experiences.Governmentally, the study of industry cluster development should be strengthened so that the sense and the standard cluster service can be high leveled. Then the institutional environment good to the technology innovation and corporation should be build. Finally research and development on significant technologies should be supported.As for the cluster development, industrial park should be build; such problems as: the shortage of the dispersion of industries as well as , the imperfection of corresponding infrastructures should be dealed with.As for enterprises, Firstly, every enterprise in the cluster should have its propriety product position fixed; secondly, enterprises in cluster should cultivate the sense of cooperation and find a balance point between the competition and the cooperation, which is an important matter in face of enterprises; finally, cluster enterprises should improve the research competence of the core techniques for their own sake.Culturally, firstly, government factions and some ideologies should be transformed so that the ideology of the official standard can be gradually cleared off and so that the authority government can be transformed into a service one. Secondly, the scientific talent system should be constructed, such as paying more attention to and devoting more to education. The principle of"Rely on Science and Education to rejuvenate the province"should be confirmed so that the northeastern ideas and world values can be exalted to a higher level .then finally the culture innovation strategies should be carried out so that the spirits of nation can be breeded and developed.The thesis reaches my goal through the qualitative and the quantitative methods respectively.
