Research On The Coordinating Development Of Characteristic Crop Production In Impoverished Areas Of Gansu

The characteristic crop-planting in Gansu impoverished areas is an enormous and complicated system, which contains interrelationship among all kinds of system elements. Each element and the interrelationship among them form the characteristic crop-planting structure, which makes the system have a particular function.The complexity of the characteristic crop-planting in poor areas in Gansu is composed of 31 characteristic crop-planting of each poor county, town, village and peasant household—subsystems. Among them, all characteristic crop production at different levels is mutually interrelated and they are independent themselves. It is very important to build a developmental pattern, which requires each subsystem should be the benign competitive partners of mutually prompting, consulting and cooperating both inside and outside of the market and eventually establish a planting pattern in the international market so as to realize the corresponding development of each subsystem, continuous increasing of farming efficiency and farmers' income. This is an urgent issue to the poor areas in Gansu and this article proposed the corresponding development of characteristic crop-planting and produced a meaningful result by discussing this problem from the relationship among market demand, structure of planting industry, planting scale, planting benefit and the planting quality.There are five parts in this article. The first part briefly introduced the general range of the poor areas in Gansu, The second part analyzed the advantages of characteristic crop-planting by calculating its general comparative advantages index and pointed out the shortage of this method. Part three stated the nature, characters, problems to be solved and significance of cooperative development in Gansu poor areas. In the fourth part, the writer built a cooperative developmental model and offered two basic propositions as well. Being based on the two propositions, the last part is the experimental analysis concerning cooperative development of crop-planting industry in Weiyuan and Min, two poor counties in Gansu.
