Research On Competitiveness Evaluation Of Chinese Building Enterprise

Construction market is a huge market within which profits and risks both exist. The competition in construction market has the characteristics of common market as well as its own. As China entered WTO, the competition in construction market is increasing. How does building enterprise train its own market competitive capacity to keep competitive advantages in competition? What are the factors impacting competitive capability of construction company? How is the competitive capability of construction company evaluated? The paper begins with the analysis on the competitive environment around construction company, does research on the competitive capability of construction company, and the main contents of the paper are included as follows:1. Analyzing the competitive environment around construction companyThe paper analyses the competitive environment around construction company systematically, especially focusing on the analysis of the market environments around construction industry, so as to pave for the analysis on the affecting factors of competitive capability of construction company.2. Discussing the affecting factors of the competitive capability of construction companyThe section starts with the analysis on the competitive capability around construction company, coupled with the study on competition theory, divides the affecting elements of competitive capability of construction company into two sorts, the implicit factors and the explicit factors, and then states the way of each sort affecting competitive capability and the relationships between the them concretely.3. Establishing the evaluation index system and evaluation model for competitive capability of construction companyAccording to the analysis on the affecting elements, taking account of both bidding capability and sustainable capability, based on the method of DEA, the paper establishes the evaluation index system and evaluation model for competitive capability of construction company, and do empirical analysis by using the model. 4. Making recommendations on improving the competitive capability of construction companyCommencing with bidding capability and sustainable capability of construction company, the paper puts forward seven measures on improving the competitive capabilities of construction company in China.The results of the study proves that based on the analysis on the characteristics of competitive environment around construction company, the affecting elements of competitive capability of construction company are divided into two sorts, the implicit and the explicit; the proposed theory framework that the competitive capability of construction company is composed of bidding capability and sustainabale capability is consistent with the actual competition. The established evaluation index system based on the theory framework and the evaluation method for the competitive capability of construction company based on DEA are all very applicable. It is easy to calculate with DEA computer program.
