The car industry has greatly related with other industries, for 20 years development of joint venture, it has become one of the mainstays of the economy in China. Apparently, the technology level of the car industry presents the nation's R&D level in automobile industry.Technology innovation makes a giant impetus to the development of car industry. And the essential of the competitive of car industry equate with the competition of the technology innovation. The vital of car industry development is for owning the self-innovation and control the core technology. Reviewing growth of Japanese and Korean car industry, we can easily find out, the fundamentality reason is the technology ability in long term. And it makes those two countries make copy to innovation true. Although the produce and sale have both making high progress in 20 years joint venture. However, almost all the firms are still in the stage of simple bring or copy.After analysis, market hasn't taken us core technology to our car industry under our policy. And the self-innovation ability hasn't got remarkable progress. It shows as the follow: R&D input is lower, market share of national brand car product is lower, and net export is still minus.This paper analyzes the characteristic and the problem of the development in self-innovation of the car industry. We get a conclusion that we should reinforce the ability of secondary innovation, coordinate with correlative industries, increase the expenditure of R&D are the effective approaches to improve the self-innovation capability of car industry in China. |
