A Study On Agricultural Comparison Between Fujian And Taiwan And Agricultural Development In Fujian

"Agriculture, Rural Area, and Peasants" is the fundamental question of the overall situation of China's modernization. Agriculture plays an important role in the national economy. Everyone knows, Fujian province is one of the best conditions for agricultural development in China, and the level of agricultural development in Fujian is far slowly than that in Taiwan, further more, relations between Fujian and Taiwan has inherent advantages to other provinces. How to make better use of these conditions has become an important part of study frame.This paper selected Fujian and Taiwan province which sit on each side of the Taiwan Strait as research area, explained natural and economic situation of two places from geographical angle in detail. Then the paper analyzed the economy function and status of agriculture in rural economy between Fujian and Taiwan, by contrast of primary condition on agricultural development, growing up rate of agriculture, agricultural output value in GDP proportion, structure in agriculture, and agricultural competitiveness between Fujian and Taiwan province; and put forward the countermeasure of agricultural cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan, based on the analysis on experiences and lessons in the agricultural evolution of Taiwan, the agricultural competitiveness, the necessity, possibility, advantage and disadvantage conditions to agricultural cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan. Finally, according to calculation of the agricultural comprehensive productivity in Fujian province and result of agricultural productivity in Fujian cities by Principal Components Analysis and Cluster Analysis, the paper divided 9 cities in Fujian as 4 regions and advanced their development way of agriculture in accordance with local conditions and the request of agricultural comprehensive productivity system.
