After reforms and opening-up, with the rapid steps of industialization, the process of urbanization is also faster and faster. During this process,lots of famer laborers migrate from the rual area to the urban area, parcipating the construction of industrialization and urbanization, so a very special group of people with famer's identification but involved in non-agricultural activities appeared—farmer workers.We choose the famer workers who work in the city of Nanjing but come from Huai An as the objects and get a comprehensive and precise knowledge of this group's characteristics by collecting materials. We analyze factors which influent famers' entering the city to get a job maily from the internal and external aspects. From the internal aspect including age, sex, education and skills, we point out that the male famer workers with a younger age, higher education and more skills will have more space and more opptunities to choose jobs. From the external aspect, we conclude that two different forms of society and their political economic and social status and dependence and adapatability on which will not only their entering the city to find a job but also significantly influent the process of the urbanization and civilization.We also give some suggestions and countermeasures to creat conditions and improve environment to help famers enter the city to find a job and raise the status.1. intergerate resources, strengthen the education and training to the farmer workers.2. collaborate and speed famers' transfer from the agriculture to non-agriculture.3. carry out institutions, construct their social securities as soon as possible.4. service well, provide a healthy external environment for them.
