Till now, tourism in our country has already got all-round development in outbound tourism,domestic tourism and inbound tourism which is the starting point of our country's tourism. It is as plain as the nose on one's face that, after developing for 20 years, the inbound tourism has done a great deal to our country's economy, especially to the growth of foreign exchange and the balance of the international payments. Developing the inbound tourism is beneficial both to the country and to the region, it can not only enhance the growth of foreign exchange but also improve the international notability of the country and region greatly, at the same time spur development of the other industries. Therefore, discussing the inbound tourism of a country and a region and its status in international tourism is very important to a country and region to make tourism and economic policy.The thesis takes inbound tourist source market of Qingdao as a research object. On the basis of some statistic materials about inbound tourist sample survey and other statistic information about historical and present condition, it analyzes the general characteristic of tourist source market of Qingdao, the primary factors that influence Qingdao's inbound tourist market, and the characteristic of main tourist source market.
