With China playing an increasingly important role in global economy, its tourism industry ushers in golden development period, and then to gradually become a supporting industry. According to the World Tourism Organization, China will become the world's most popular tourist destination and the number one tourist country in the world by 2020. Since the reform and opening up, the inbound tourism in Heilongjiang Province has maintained steady and rapid development trend, and has made great contribution to the foreign exchange earnings and the whole tourism industry. The inbound tourism not only enhances the understanding between residents and tourists, but promotes coordinated economic development, thus to increase foreign exchange earnings and its visibility in the international community. At present, domestic and international tourism competition is becoming increasingly fierce. The stable quantity and quality of tourists are needed to ensure the sustainable development of inbound tourism. Therefore, the study on immigration tourist market in Heilongjiang Province is important for the comprehensive development of inbound tourism and can guide the development of tourism and economic policies.This paper takes Heilongjiang inbound tourist market as the research object, analyzes the present inbound tourism in Heilongjiang Province, and with the method of situation analysis makes a further study on the provincial inbound tourism development trend. Using tourist economics and marketing theory, according to the Statistical Yearbook of Heilongjiang, the inbound tourists sample surveys and other relevant statistical information, by means of the combination of market analysis and data processing, and in terms of time, space, population, tourists' behaviors, tourists' psychology and consumption, comprehensive inbound tourist market characteristics are concluded in this paper. Taking the main tourist source market as the research object, the inbound tourists in Heilongjiang province are classified and analyzed according to the continents, analys the tourist source market distribution and structural feature in Europe, Asia-pacific region, Americas. The qualitative analysis and quantitative forecast are given to the development trend of inbound tourist market in Heilongjiang province. On the basis of the above findings the market position and development strategies of the provincial inbound tourism are presented.
