On the present background of promoting the continuing development and creating economize society, that the research on the way of Jiangsu economic growth, has the very important and realistic meaning.This thesis with 1990～2004 Jiangsu history data for foundation, adopts the research of the quantity and the quality combination together. First, using the mass index number of economic growth defines the way of Jiangsu development. Then, using the potential analysis method to expand the production function, tries to accurately measure the quantity and exertive effect of the main economic factor such as labor force capital, fixed assets investment, industrial structure variation, R&D devotion and the comprehensive effect, through the potential effective coefficient to predict them the future of development trend. Finally, Investigating the counterplans of changing the way of the economy growth, promoting the continuing development ability.
