China is the top apple producer in the world. With the rapid development of apple industry and the implementation of "going out" strategy, China's apple export quantity increases sharply, export markets continue to expand and become more diversified. At present, EU has become one of China's high-end export markets due to the rapid increase of its apple import quantity. Meanwhile, China still faces unprecedented competition because of short time access to EU, poor information channels, constantly changing EU market and its high market entrance threshold.The research approach is to analyze the current condition, including the production, consumption and trade, of EU apple market, market trends, market access and supply-chain systems so that we can have clear understanding and definite orientation on EU apple market. Besides, by analyzing the competitiveness of China's apple market, policies and proposals on how to exploit the EU apple market are put forward.The theory of Porter Diamond will be applied to analyze the EU apple market. Within this total, the EU supply & demand apple market will be analyzed according to production, consumption and trade. The EU market access will be figured out according to tariff and non-tariff, including the apple export enterprises and export products. In the study of China & EU apple supply-chain systems, China's apple supply-chain system which designed for export will be analyzed according to production, procurement and export on the basis of analyzing EU apple market supply-chain systems. In the study of China's apple market competitiveness, SWOT analysis method will be applied to analyze strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges of China's apple market. Finally, the policies and proposals are put forward from apple production, procurement, processing and export aspectsThe conclusion of the dissertation: the slight increasing consumption, stable production, and steady increasing import of EU apples shows that China obviously has competitive advantages on the total number, ecological resources and cost price. As long as we can seize the export opportunity and learn more about the EU market access and trade channels to overcome the domestic production, marketing disadvantages and trade barriers set by EU, China's apple exports to the EU will have a bright future.
